I seem to recall reading somewhere that Henry Shoemaker, author of "North Pennsylvania Minstrelsy" (1929), was for some reason a very unreliable source, or that this compilation of songs of the northern PA mountain folk was somehow bogus. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
