Does anyone remember a very funny Irishman by the name of jacko murphy who did the rounds of folk clubs at the end of the 60's, beginning of the 70's. I believe he lived in Sheffield at one time. He was a great entertainer, had a fine wit about him and could really engage with an audience. Is he still around?

Did you ever find anything about Jacko Murphy? I would be interested to know what became of him.

I had forgotten posting this thread until you resurrected it! At the time I never got any responses via the 'cat'. I have been told however that Jacko went back to Ireland. Also been told that Robin Garside was a mate of his. If that's true maybe Robin could enlighten us?
