As I indicated in a previous thread, I am seeking to trade in my faithful F/C Erica for a better model. I find that the keys of F or C are better for my range of voice than G/D (perhaps it's an age thing!). Anyway, my Internet researches have shown me that G/C/F is a common key for Tex-mex style melodeon playing and that there are a number of G/C/F melodeons on the US market. What I am after knowing is simply - what are they like? For example, are they in 'wet' tunings like Hohners or 'dry' like Castagnaris, or somewhere in between? Is the tuning just like a standard G/D/A but lower or is there something different about them? What's the quality like? What are the makes to go for/avoid? What's the best value? What I am after is a nice mellow 'swing' tuned melodeon, preferably with 3 reeds on the right hand and a stop to take a reed out. Answers on a postcard. Gwilym
