Hello everyone. After the Fab New Roots/ Fireworks/Baked Potatoes and Bram Taylor Night. I am feeling in a Singaround mood. Alas I will not be there cos I am in Cornwall, but please come down and keep Derick and Ross company and make them smile. The next week 22/11/04 we have the excellent Martin Banks not to be missed. See you all soon. Who is up for it? Dudes!

Hello. Anyone there? We had Bram Taylor on Monday night, Pete Coe is at Bishop Stotford tonight, there is one day to go to Robb Johnson in St Albans and at Cambridge Show of Hands, and Pete Coe again at Stony Stratford and two days to go before Martin Cathy. Who said Folk Music is getting boring in our area? And most astonishingly of all only three days to go before The Friendly Earth and Fretless Acoustic Club SINGAROUND SPECIAL. Every Friendly Earth and Fretless Acoustic Club SINGAROUND is Special mind you cos it's so much fun. So come on down and find out for yourself. Bring your instruments, voices but most importantly bring yourselves. In our lovely NON smoking room. Yeah DUDES.

thats at the Royal British Legion, Verulam Road, there be more laughs than at the other place, Chris has some new songs for us

As we had Ross last week I hope all those who didnt come to support him will buy him the drinks on Monday as their apology.

Ross did good, everyone has said so

Have a good trip,Martin, hey, can you take me down, seriously, I need to be there, I'm looking for a lift, when you off?

I can take you there but you will have to get back yourself. Either Monday afternoon, in which case we will be stopping overnight at Avebury or very early on Tuesday morning. Most likely the first option. And sorry how could I have forgoten my mate Chris Flegg.

Oh yeah and sorry to say half of my family are coming as well. So there will not be any room. If that changes I will let you know. It will cost you at least 3 credits for The Spotlight Club.

Hi Martin - I missed this thread

Sorry to hear you're not around Monday - at least I will be able to smoke me pipe - that's a joke

I've had a rollercoaster week - I feel really grumpy today - anyone got a cat I can kick - although that's not very nice and it will probably make me worse

All the woman were talking about you; as they did their washing in the Moor, on the common this morning

A stranger in the vullage who wasn't local

Hi Martin - hope everything went well

Any news of Redbourn - where was it held last week

I see all the signs have been taken down at the Cricketers for refurbishment - the beer is now rubbish on hearsay

When are you coming back form Cornwall - I'm not going to be able to make the 22nd at the Bull - hope you'll be there?

Yes I am coming back on the 21st as luck would have it. Umm everything went well, we have one more practise before the 26th. And yeah beer not up to much but ine was 5.2% which made up for it. Bar staff not really the same, should be moving soon. It was at The Cricketers last Thursday though. See you soon. Dude.

How are we going to keep the thread alive today

Any suggestions?

It's tempting to ask Martin if the man was playing his beard & glasses

No but a lot of noise came out from the beard. Now I really am off. Be good Ross look after Derick and Bert. And ask Rachel why she is upset please, give me some faint chance.

Hi Linael - we kick off around 8:30pm

Martin - Rachel's upset that you didn't let her know about the potatoes being required and that you didn't pay her for the room (which she heated for you), or the bar staff or the potatoes - she wasn't very impressed with the box of mince pies and fireworks you left in lieu - I think - I did a Homer Simpson as she ranted at me and started to think about 'cheese on toast' - mmmmmmmm lovely

I didn't say anything earlier because I didn't really want to get involved

Everything should be fine tonight though - mmmmmmmmm toast

Hi Piers - we're hoping the 27th December will be a good night (Monday)

Bedford is also open on the 30th (Thurs) which sounds good

Redbourn has a christmas party on the 23rd

Scrooge meets a ghost on the 24th (Rachel has casted Martin for the part)

Will we make it make into Paradise?

Thanks to the small band of supporters - numbers plunge when Martin's away

Thanks to Trevor, Tony Vasse, Bert & Pat, Carlos & Bill & John P

Only 8 with me

Looking forward to seeing the new Folkaholics at Letchworth on the 26th November with their new line up - Martin, Derrick, Cathy & Trevor

Should be brilliant

battling to keep the Bull in lights

New thread started for next Monday - so all transmissions end

Not a crime GUEST, just that if there's something you'd like to say on a particular thread, then you're very welcome to just say it. Refreshing an out of date thread for no apparent reason, we'll be guessing and never know....
