Hi guys. I hope you don't mind me leaving this message on your fine forum. Otherwise feel free to delete it. I noticed a few guys here who appear to be blues music fans. Well I belong to a blues music forum of nearly 500 registered members and I would like to extend an invitation to any who might be interested to drop by and join up. We have some great discussions underway and it would be great to get new input as well.In order to access the forum, you MUST register first. This is due unfortunately to a hacker attack recently who created some serious havoc. Thanks guys and keep up the great work here.

May be nothing, but my security software does not like this link...said it was trying to access my computer (not just a cookie alert). What is the appropriate Caveat for something that is free.

Hi again guys. Just stopped by to check things out. If you're having any difficulty accessing the forum, try typing in "Blindman's Blues Forum" into the Google search engine and a link to the forum will appear. I'm not trying to connect you guys to a porn site or some strange nonsense. God knows I have better things to do. If you have any questions, feel free to email me and I'll answer any questions you might have. Hope this might cast aside any doubts as to my intentions.

Some virus killers wrongly identify the forum title with the name of a virus:

"What is blindman.exe for? [link]
Some of you may have noticed a new file blindman.exe inside the Spybot-S&D folder, and have asked yourself what it is for.
In short words: it does nothing.

I guess an explanation is needed why a file that does exactly nothing comes with Spybot-S&D. Spybot-S&D offers a tool to control the System startup in its Tools section. This includes the ability to disable or enable startup entries from the Autostart group (found in your Start menu under Programs). This group contains links to the actual files. Windows stores those links as files with the extension .lnk. When Windows encounters a *.lnk file in that folder upon startup, it will start the linked application. Now the easiest way to disable those entries is to change the extension. The System startup tool of Spybot-S&D does simply change the extension .lnk to .disabled. This easily prevents the linked application from being started. But as Windows doesn't know this extension, this could slow the startup down. So Spybot-S&D does link that extension to blindman.exe. Windows now tries to run the .disabled file with blindman.exe - and as blindman.exe does exactly nothing, there's no slow-down in booting.
Some Anti-Viral Software even thinks that this is "Spyware" or a "Trojan" of some description"

Hi guys. Just to followup since the thread has been revived, The Devil's Music Forum, the old site is kaput. Many of us made an early migration last April because of continuing problems with the site being offline. If some of you guys posted on the old forum, you're more than welcome to join us over at Blindman's. Since my initial post we are now up to 900 members and closing in on 50,000 posts.
