Are you refering to "Silent O Moyle" by Thomas Moore?

I'll automatically presume you mean the song recorded by the Bothy Band and later by Talitha MacKenzie.

I thought this song was called Elena Boyn.

I started a thread a few days ago but no one else had any idea about my phonetic interpretation of Fionnguala's chorus.

I had to (ie:my partner) delve a little deeper and use a little detective work to discover that Elena Boyn was actually Fionnghuala.
