Is this the Jim Reynolds you had in mind? Or is it this one? (Maybe there are others.)

I can't find anything on the Internet that associates anyone named "Jim Reyolds" with a song called "Here and Gone".

allmusic - the most comprehensive music database I've heard of – doesn't list "Jim Reynolds" but it does list several different songs called "Here and Gone" recorded by other artists. You might try listening to some sound samples to see if any of them is the song you want.
