I'm looking for a song that I know nothing about other than the title. It has slower verses (I think) then breaks in to "Belly Button Belly Button , Oh my belly button, Belly button Belly button I love you"
Anyone know what I mean?

This is the "Belly Button Song" by Heather Bishop . I couldn't find the lyrics, but you could support Heather and buy her cd and get the lyrics that way!

It's a great song which I haven't heard in years. Thanks for reminding me of it!

Allison

Heather Bishop sang it but Connie Kaldor wrote it, according to allmusic. An excerpt transcribed from a sound sample:

Oh how sad, lonely I would be,
When I lifted up by shirt, I didn't see

CHORUS: My belly button, belly button, oh, my belly button,
Oh, my belly button, I love you.
My belly button, belly button, oh, my belly button,
Oh, my belly button, I love you.

This song is on Connie Kaldor's cd, "A Duck in New York City".

I grew up with this song in the 80's and Connie Kalder didn't release it for some time after that. Possible it's an open license song or did she cover it? The version I know was sung by a man. Perhaps she wrote it in 80's for someone else and published it herself in 2006? I'm trying to find the tape this song was on for my aunt and this and as one of the more memorable songs on it.
