Message, for anyone coming along to Nellies this Sunday 12th, there is an annual booking for the upstairs room (the theatre group). So we will be back into the big room downstairs. And to all who may be coming along to the Christmas bash on the 19th saus rolls, sarnies, pre-cooked Christmas turkey and any instruments you want to bring along will be welcome, not forgeting the sherry trifle.

Cheers John There is an add-on to this thread, that is that on the 19 a collection for Dave Swarbrick will go around the room and be given to Richard Wasling to go in with the one from the folk club.

Have you never had fox sandwiches before? They are an excellent choice of meal. Ask SuperTed, he's brilliant at cooking them. In fact, we're thinking about opening a family business...I'll hunt them on horseback with a couple of dogs (anything ring a bell?) and he can skin and cook 'em! Genius really!

Well said number one daughter! The dog's leg is much improved, so I am hoping it will bring down a couple of baby seals this weekend. Now they make great sandwiches.

Hello oooombanjo. I indeed myself as it were also have a banjo tuned in traditional Irish tenor style. I would never give Ted my long neck as it is precious to me. Plus he's a lager man whereas I'm hand-pulled (ale that is)! Having said that Ted's also partial to a sweet sherry................

I've just popped over to Nellies to see if the extension has been granted, Anna is out but the staff think it has been given, I will keep you updated on this as soon as the answer comes in, kick off is around 1600hrs. The back room will be opened to put any goodies in, suggestions welcome as to weather we take a break later in the eavening to polish them off, or?????. The log fire will be lit early and an ample stock of fuel left by the fireside.
