Subject: RE: 'Cara' for your Folk Festival. From: Oaklet Date: 14 Dec 04 - 09:44 AM GS - Les threatened to release the negatives to the press if I didn't agree to help with the carols at Walesby. It is Liam on Melodeon, Helen (blimey!) on piano and me scratching away furiously whilst you get on with the serious business of raising the roof and money for Mr Swarbrick. Mike and John will I'm sure be there in spirit. I am suddenly very pleased that it is a Tuesday and have freshened myself up. |

Subject: RE: 'Cara' for your Folk Festival. From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Date: 13 Dec 04 - 08:09 PM Cara are now getting played throughout Europe on Pulse Unsigned, its channel 905 on Sky. Them without Sky, can listen online, www.pulseunsigned.com, [or it might be .co.uk? theres a thread about it somwere. Oaklet tells me they are playing a few Cara tracks, including tHe Fairy Queen, it gets its first play tomorow, I THINK its at 10pm? Pulse Unsigned is a new radio station set up to give unsigned bands a chance to get heard on the radio, I heard about it on another music website that I use, and posted a thread about it here. There are a couple of conditions, ie you MUST be unsigned, to qualify for getting played, and they don't want bands doing cover versions, it must be original or trad stuff. |

Subject: RE: 'Cara' for your Folk Festival. From: Skipjack K8 Date: 12 Dec 04 - 01:06 PM I have four of their CDs! I booked Cara for my folk festival, and they were splendid. For any festival organiser, take a tip. Book these lads, and then tell everyone you were the one that booked them, if reflected glory is your thing. Book them even if it isn't. |

Subject: 'Cara' for your Folk Festival. From: Georgiansilver Date: 11 Dec 04 - 12:22 PM Now that "Cara" from North Lincolnshire have a website with the capability of producing music for you to hear. Please have a listen and be fascinated and delighted by their style of music and the easy listening of all of their three CDs. The other suggestion I would make is that you get them booked for your Festival as I would hazard an educated guess that they will be in big demand soon. My personal favourites on the website are "The Faerie Queen" and "The mayfly"..Go have a listen and assess for yourself the quality and entertainment value of this Folk Trio. Best wishes..and once again..get 'em booked |
