I just want to plug a friend's club, which started about three months ago. I've done a little search here to make sure I wasn't duplicating and I don't think I am.

Bob's club is called 'Live In DN5' and is held at the Sprotbrough Country Club, Cadeby Road, Sprotbrough, Doncaster DN5 7SD. Guests so far have been Steve Womack, Mundy Turner and Jez Lowe. The next one is on Monday 13th December, and the guest will be Gina Dootson.

Hope to see some of you there.

Strollin is a very experienced and excellent folk singer who has played on a regular basis at my folk club www.marketrasenfolkclub.co.uk

I had the privelage to see and listen to him singing live on Radio Lincolnshire a few months back. One of the songs he sung was lifted straight onto the Yellowbellies CD, so good is he.

He is well worth having at your club, believe me.

I am sure he is Les, but as I say, this club has nothing to do with me other than it belonging to a good mate, Bob Chiswick.

I'm going along tomorrow night and I'll make Bob aware of Mudcat and perhaps he'll join and contribute to some of the discussions, as well as plugging his club, which deserves mention.
