Subject: Hard to find Beatles songs From: GUEST,dbgrate Date: 12 Dec 04 - 10:05 PM Where can one find a couple of Beatle recordings,"Give Ireland Back To The Irish" and ".Luck of the Irish" (the latter being,I think, a Lennon song). Thanks. |

Subject: RE: Hard to find Beatles songs From: alanabit Date: 13 Dec 04 - 02:22 AM Chris, "Give Ireland Back" was the single before "Mary Had a Little Lamb", which puts it in the early seventies - probably 1971-72. Some critics would say that of the two above mentioned songs, "Give Ireland Back" was the more childish nursery rhyme. I have no doubt it was sincere, but it was not one of Macca's better efforts lyrically. The best place to find it would be on a Wings compilation. |
