After the success of the Farlington debauches - sorry musical events - I am trying to drum sume interest up for sumething similar for next year, hopefully about Easter.I was toying with the idea of the Ribblehead viaduct. There is a great pub next door to the viaduct with room for camping and accomadation and that.

I will be paying a field trip to the area in the very near future to check out what kind of reception we can expect.

So come on you lot, what do yer think?

Sounds like a good idea to me.
I'll probably be working over easter if I'm still at the curry ship, but I'm sure loads of other Hull area folkies would be interested.

Font color=red> Of course we do Petal! Circumstances beyond our control have simply delayed our return. Dry your tears on your smock and have a nice cup of tea.
Why not talk to the FarTington inbreds and see if you can get them to tag along?

There a camping barn just opposite a hotel a mile or two down the road towards Ingleton. They used to have a folk music weekend. Bet they would welcome you there.....They also have a camping field next door too.

Smoker-beration is half the fun KJ! And they enjoy retaliating too, in my experience! But I've a theory that it's the fags that make some of them's voices (no names no pack-drill) LOL!

I've stayed B&B in that pub 3 or 4 years ago. The breakfast was good and so was the beer. I seem to remember it being called the Station inn and the landlord an ex policeman. Dave you were there as well. Oh dear, what have I just said.................?

Way hay I've found a computer, Mick, Ribblehead sounds brill, an old stomping ground of mine, spent many an eve. in the Station pub in the late 70's & early 80's, if summat's appening keep me informed. Hand pulled, the ex Policeman no longer is the landlord there. The pub took an active part in this year's Ingleton Folk fest, so I'm sure We'd be made welcome.

Cheers
          Muppett

Me dears - Easter this year is in March (Good Friday is 25th, Easter Monday is 28th). Might be a tad nippy for camping, unless you are extremely hardy-types.

If you are venturing thus far to the border, why not go all the way into darkest Lancashire and sing some shanties at Lancaster? Who knows, it might be your last opportunity...

(and you might as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb...)
