Subject: RE: LYR REQ: Peter Rowan's Midnight Moonlight From: fern Date: 30 Nov 98 - 09:28 PM I have the song on the wonderful "Old and In the Way" album, Jerry Garcia's one blue grass album. I was waiting to see if anyone else had the lyrics. I will dig out the tape and try to transcribe the lyrics for you. It's a great song. The chords might take me longer. I'll be back at work (my only access to the internet) on Wednesday evening. Fern |

Subject: RE: LYR REQ: Peter Rowan's Midnight Moonlight From: fern Date: 03 Dec 98 - 10:07 PM Moonlight, Midnight If you ever feel lonesome when you're down in San Antone Beg, steal or borrow two nickels or a dime to call me on the phone I'll meet you at Alamo Mission, where we can say our prayers The Holy Ghost and the Virgin Mother will heal us as we kneel there In the moonlight, in the midnight, in the moonlight, midnight, moonlight If you ever feel sorrow for the deeds you have done With no hope for tomorrow in the setting of the sun And the ocean is howling for the things that might have been And that last good morning sunrise will be the brightest you've ever seen In the moonlight, in the midnight, in the moonlight, midnight, moonlight. A 1-5-4 progression works on the verse; haven't quite gotten the chorus. Have fun. Fern |
