anyone know if KIM and JIM LANSFORD,of GALENA ,MISSOURI,has made another cd project!
i have thoroughly enjoyed their "out in the cold world",cd for over a year now and even today when i listen to it,i love it more and more each time...
i found a festival site on the web, where they preform occasionally, but havent found their website or email addy!
i purchased this cd directly from them by telephone, because i bugged the dj at the radio station who was playing cuts from it,til she finally broke down and gave me their telephone number that was listed on the cd!
no,i haven't called them recently, but just wondered if you catters know about them and love them as much as i do!!!
wow! they are terrific!
any info you can provide this thread will be greatly appreciated!

Well, you won't get any argument here. We're talking about some of my favorite recordings from some of my favorite musicians. Their newest recording (from 2003) is Call Your Dogs.

It's hard to pick favorites when there are so many, but I'll go with Claude Allen on Call Your Dogs, and My Old Cottage Home and Shamus O'Brien on Cold World. You might also want to consider their earlier cassette of mostly lesser known fiddle tunes, New Harmony.

Their homepage is here.

Jim used to live here in Stone County, Arkansas and was playing in a bluegrass band at the time. His real passion was old time music, however, and he and Kim have made some great recordings. Its nice to find someone else who enjoys their music.

Never mind me -- y'all are apparently talking about an album that came out more than fifteen years ago, which I somehow never heard about until now. I wonder how THAT could have happened. I met them a number of times way back when.
