Subject: Another Sheet Music Site! From: Dale Rose Date: 25 Nov 98 - 09:53 PM Folks, this is BIG! Stop what you are doing, and head on over to the Duke University Sheet Music Site. Yeah, I know, that means leaving the Mudcat alone for a bit, but it will still be here when you get back with all those wonderful old songs. Right now there are over 3,000 pieces of sheet music on line from 1850-1920, with the promise that it will eventually number over 20,000. There is a good selection of things not found at "our" other sites, and the quality of reproduction is exceptional. There is just so much there that I cannot begin to explain it all, just go check it out for yourself! Be sure that you don't miss the large image option~~so huge and totally readable that you will be absolutely amazed. Guaranteed.
Oh, one small quibble. It is VERY slow, due to the large size of the images, but I think the quality makes up for that.
As if this were not enough, you will note that they also have a lyrics database there. |

If you don't see me at the Mudcat for awhile, you will know I am at this sheet music site. Heaven. Thanks! alice |
