Hi y'all-
Well, the time (or at least a time) has come when we've run out of some sizes of Mudcat Tees. I'm trying to plan a re-order.

Over the years, some Mudcatters have griped about the limited range of color (blue) available. Well, I've found a supplier who will not only give us a decent price but will let let me mix colors as long as I stick to the same color ink. What's more, he can supply a rainbow of colors including charcoal, brown, green, orange, red, navy, royal blue, purple and black.

There's no way I'm going to stock all sizes in all colors, but if you want one or more, you can place your orders now. I'll continue to stock the old faithful Navy ones, but if you want to stand out in a crowd of 'Catters, here's your chance.

Clinton - look under quick links at the top of the page for lots of goodies. Try the events pictures after you get into the photo section.    Not everyone has mudcat shirts in it. Try the Getaway 2003 - there are a few mudcat shirts in the group. The shirt Max is sporting on the tee shirt page is the original color that did not have enough contrast, so we switched to navy.

Folks - there are LOTS of colors. Be specific about color and size (as many of you have done).

Let me clarify. Every color ink requires a new set-up charge, so it's much simpler to stick with the light blue we're currently using.

If I were to stock colors, or different styles or sweatshirts, or whatever, each style or color would require me to lay out the money and find storage space for each item in S,M,L,XL,XXL and XXL. I'll check and see if the supplier will mix styles as well as colors, but I'm only going to obtain those that are ordered specifically.

I'll publish prices, colors and (if possible) styles and types of shirt. Remember, though, that each order I place puts me in the hole for several hundred dollars, and CAMSCO doesn't sell enough CDs to give me much spare cash.

As someone who has done a fair bit of custom T-shirt printing over the years .. the answer to your request: "... lemme know when I can get a black-T, with white ink ..." would be something like: "Several weeks more ... and anywhere from $20 to $50 extra ... depending ...!"

If the 'silk'-screen is a good, fine detailed, one (and my memory of my Mudcat T-shirt, at home, is that it is) - then the much thicker and less tractable opague white won't go through - and will gum up the screen. I have had to make special (coarser) screens for bands that want "roadie" style (black T-shirts with white printing) ... and it isn't economical for one-offs.

How Dick's printers work (especially now that screens are moving away from synthetic fabric to stainless steel mesh) is another question.

I too have a problem with too tight at the neck things...I can't stand anything tight on my neck (past life experience maybe..lol). Are there any options on necklines for the girlies/womanies:>)

I would like to point out that I have furthered mudcat publicity by appearing in the Bristol Evening Post newspaper (Saturday magazine supplement), fuzzily in the background with a shiny fiddle in the foreground, and proudly wearing my mudcat t-shirt. I think all visual appearances of mudcat apparel deserve reward and thus demand a rainbowed array of new t-shirts. And a grey one.

Dick Greenhaus asked, on the BS thread, asked 'what kind of hat'. I was thinking ball caps (peaked caps). Their cheap. Dick also mentioned that the style varies and some me not be pleased with the style chosen. Therefore, Dick has suggested patches which could be sewn on hats.

we are finally getting serious about placing an order for tee shirts. (Between Dick's surgery and moving, things have gotten slowed down a bit.) Since there are too many possible combos of color and size, we will order only those that people have ordered, other than the usual navy, so speak up now if you want one (or more). The tee shirts have been running $15. I'm not sure about the UK pricing. We will be at Whitby, so we could bring over a few. If you asked for a shirt and do not want it, let us know. I have started talking to the silkscreen people, but do not have all of the answers yet.

1) All shirts must have the SAME INK COLOR
2) Sweatshirts are possible, as long as we order only one color sweatshirt
3) While there are 47 colors of tee shirts available, we can include only 3 colors in one order. Tees will be all cotton.
4) They are investigating what they can do about V or scoop neck tees.
5) They charge more for 2X and 3X and there are fewer colors available in 3X - no details yet

Those of you who listed shirts you wanted and have not yet confirmed your orders will need to do so.

Since we are still negotiating details of the order, I don't want to get too specific on prices yet. If we run the payment thru CAMSCO, that adds credit cards to checks and paypal (and Bill Sables in the UK) for payment. Profit goes to Mudcat. Let's hold off a couple of days on paying for things until we will know whether we have to charge more for 3X, whether we can absorb US postage, what sweatshirts will cost, whether V necks will be more, etc. We are also talking to a second source. So let's wait for the details to settle.

With all of the shirt preferences, it might be easier if each Mudcatter found the blank shirt they want and send it in with a nominal fee to cover the cost of the silkscreen materials. Trouble is, it leaves no room for errors, and while rare, they do happen. But it's a thought.

Roger and Chance - we have those red shirts in XL and 3X in stock, no medium or 2X though.

Just to keep this alive...

I hope to hear from the shirt producer with more details late Monday, but who knows. We have enough confirmed orders to be twice the minimum order of 36 (with the extra navy tees to keep in stock), so I am hoping we can use 6 tee shirt colors (probably black, green, purple, charcoal, navy, and red) and 2 sweat shirt colors, since she said we were limited to 3 colors of tees and 1 of sweatshirt in an order. Nothing definate on the V necks or pricing beyond the basic tees ($15) yet. I'll let you know.

Payment thru CAMSCO: credit card or check. paypal to me or Dick. Bill Sables in UK. We will be at Old Songs (may not have shirts yet), Champlain, and Whitby.

I am on the road for another week. I will start a list of the orders for next time when I get back. It will be quite a while before we order again - best guess - six months or so.

I doubt that we will have received the shirts before Old Songs, so for those of you who were thinking of catching us for tee shirts there, they won't be available, but stop by the CAMSCO booth and say hello. We will be where Andy's Front Hall used to be.
