Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: Big Mick Date: 10 Feb 05 - 01:11 PM Amos, bb, all you lads, ..... we have to do something to rescue Cap'n Kendall and First Mate Seamus from the clutches of Sins and Jacqui. I love them both, but they have neutering on the brain. I fear for the safety of their ........ you know. And we canna afford to lose any amongst us if we are to have any chance at all in the fall. Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: Amos Date: 10 Feb 05 - 01:15 PM Well, there's always the high-E string around the nipple technique, if it gets desperate. But maybe the desire for whips will dissipate if we provide enough chocolate. Here's a question, girls -- is it dark chocolate, or milk chocolate, that makes you feel the best? Whaddya think?? A |

Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: George Papavgeris Date: 10 Feb 05 - 01:28 PM I'm sort of half-planning to come again this year, this time with the fair Vanessa in tow. Might add a few days to take in a few sights and/or annoy a few friends (anyone that would have us, that is). And/or line up a couple of gigs, perhaps (advice?). But is it going to be at Camp Ramblewood again? Or somewhere else? Where should we fly to? |

Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: SINSULL Date: 10 Feb 05 - 02:07 PM Neutering???? That never crossed my mind - too obvious. Wonder if we should tell Bobert of our plan for him, Jacqui? Simpler and less painful than for Mick but very subtle. We will have to get P-vine to ensure success. And for any of you ladies who are thinking of falling for Mick's promises of chocolate and flowers, just examine my empty ring finger three years after the promise. The man can't be trusted. He actually thinks we can be distracted by "decent" champagne! He should consider himself lucky if I don't replace his potato with a prickly pear. By the way, j. Loosen those handcuffs. Dr. Hotelling is asking questions about the bruises. And besides, he is a Captain. It is just not dignified. There are other ways to control him..."and his little dog too." ooooohhhh Miiiiick? 3-2-1-BITE ME! |
Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: Big Mick Date: 10 Feb 05 - 02:10 PM Damn ... where did I put that ring???? It must have fallen between the car seat or somethin'. I'm going to go out and look this very minute, Sins. OK? You can quit scheming now, right? .... shit, I don't like this. Mick |
Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: Charlie Baum Date: 10 Feb 05 - 02:16 PM Camp Ramblewood for October 14-17, 2005. BWI still the nearest airport, technically followed by PHL, though given where people actually drive from, DCA and IAD might be better choices than PHL. We'll shift camps to West River (and the weekend to early November) for 2006. Nearest airport: still BWI (it's even closer to West River than Ramblewood). Maybe 2007, we can hope to have West River in October. --Charlie Baum |
Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: jacqui.c Date: 10 Feb 05 - 03:41 PM Neutering? That would be cutting off my nose to spite my face (or something)! By the way, it's too late for Seamus anyway. Cat - I'm USING the handcuffs and whip so they are easily to hand. SINS - I've explained away the bruises and the Doctor is happy now. Problem is Kendall will insist on trying to get to the keyboard so I have to be fairly hard on him, until I get him trained. I reckon that Bobert can be dealt with quite easily - he's such a sweetie we can soon have him under control. Maybe we can do P-vine a favour and send him home a better Bobert. Amos - Home Security have NO IDEA just how bad this can get! That's all cotton candy compared to a concerted attack by a group of determined females. There is no escape once we decided that you need to be dealt with - it's best not to aggravate the situation and get tangled up with rabble rousers like Big Mick. |

You too are on the list for people to be dealt with at the Getaway. I have a giant "GOTCHA" planned for you. Keep in mind that I will be in ladylike mode. You won't see it coming. Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: jacqui.c Date: 11 Feb 05 - 06:20 AM Cats - I think that husbands/future husbands of co-conspirators have to be off limits, just to keep them in line. Subject: RE: Getaway 2005 (14-17 Oct ) From: Amos Date: 11 Feb 05 - 10:29 AM I ask myself if it is worth all the trials and tribulations of travel to show up in Chillblain County, Maryland, where banjo players who start too early get stuck to their strings, flying three thousand miles in a pressurized cigar-tube, being shaken down by "F" students who finally found work, slogging over hill and dale to find a place to sleep, only to be surrounded by svelte Amazons with their long knives in hand, chortling WIccan spells and threatening to open my harmless scrotum for sport. Is it worth it, I say? Then I think about the possibility of escaping them long enough to play "White Boy Lost in the Blues" with Bobert some time, or maybe do "Wild Colonial Boy" with Mick, or hear Kendall play that banjo up close, and I think to myself, "Lad, it is sure that there are some things in life that are of an Absolute Goodness, and that kind of music is among 'em." So then I think futhah, and I think of possibly helping Mick and freeing Kendall and maybe even kidnapping Micca and taking him out for a tot of something nice while his keepers are being distracted by BB's foot-rubs, and I think, "Some things just must be done, no matter how risky, because they are of the Absolute Good." Then I think what it would be like if the whacky War Among the Wimmin was called off and I could share all this chocolate I have wi' some of my favorite Cats, and sing melty ole chick songs like "The Kind of Love You Never Recover From" (even the title gives me chills) and "I Remember Lovin' You", an' stuff, and I thinks to meself, "Lad, the world has hope and beauty in it, as well as adventure, and Hope and Beauty are always worth striving for." So then I think I will go to the Getaway, after all. But the durable cup idea sounds good, too. A |
