Greetings One and all,

Do any Mudcatters have any memories of the Cartford Arms in Little Eccleston Lancashire.

It was one of the major venues for the Folk Revival locally - a few of us Folkies have decided it would be nice to start a web site for the Cartford and all the people, Artists and Audience who went along during the 60's/70's.

So if you have any memories, photo's etc. or just want to add your name to the audience/Artist lists (and email address if you want to be contact by old friends)let us have them.

The web address will be www.Cartford.co.uk (it's not up and running yet - we'll post a clicky linky once it is)

some names you may recall from those day: The Wayfarers, Ian Gartside, Brian Dewhurst(Preston), Eddie Green, The Brewers, The Taverners, Alan Bell, Big Pete Rodgers, Brian Osborne, Stuart Robinson, The Arkansas Travellers, Pete Skinner, Tom & Hugh, Pete O'Callaghan, The Shoal, "Dutch", Keith Cropper, Jack Owen - there's a few to be going on with, any more offers?

"Mike Hill" do you remember me?....Perhaps I wasn't that good but I'm in Lincolnshire now and actually song writing!....Never was brilliant at the singing but the writing is taking shape.
Best wishes, Mike.   Oh and do you remember the Club at the "Eagle and Child" at Garstang?...Had so much fun.
