Does anyone know anything about a song fragment called "My Name is Michael McCarthy" that appears in the Voices From the Dust Bowl collection? It sounds like late-19th century broadside material, but I just can't place it, and the abbreviated recording doesn't help.

The Roud Folk Song Index lists it at number 3495, as a version of The Twenty Pound Dog. It has been found in America and England, but I don't know what its antecedents might have been.
