Allen now winters in the US having married Yolanda from San Antonio, but they return to UK every May until the end of October. He's still writing songs as well as re-writing old ones. Two new ones record lead mining history (Surrender Smelters Song - it's on YouTube) and EXplosion in Richmond Market PLace - both working titles but recorded on the Fourum 3CD collection to celebrate 40 years as a group. web-site www.fourumfolk.co.uk.

I'm sure red max's query has long been answered, but in case anyone else needs to reach Allen or other members of the group, they can do so through the Fourum web site: http://www.fourumfolk.co.uk/

Bob Hattersley passed away on 29 December 2010. The group continues to perform, with the lineup being Allen, Sandy, Jim and Rod Hall, who has been a member of the group since the mid-1990s--Rod is also a songwriter. Despite the name Fourum, the group has had more than four members for much of its history (which you can read at their site).

Allen Miller was a member of a Darlington-based folk group called Fourum. Apparently they were all teachers, the other guys were called Bob Hattersley, Sandy Still & Jim Jack

They recorded two albums, "Gunnerside Gill Remembered" and "Singing the Dales", with songs inspired by the Swaledale area where they often performed

I'm pretty sure Allen wrote all their material, but as I'm aiming to record one of the songs I need to be sure (and hopefully seek permission)

Mike Nicholson recorded one of his songs recently, but I haven't been able to get a response from him as yet. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
