Heh, I wish. Can you get 100% when you leave four or five questions unanswered? That would be a good trick. So would playing the accordian while dancing at teh same time. I have a digeridoo, but I don't do morris dancing. It's also a face digeridoo made out of a dressed up pvc pipe because real ones are way too expensive. But I can make sound with it! But it didn't come to Scotland with me. Along with most of my spatulas, it is in California.

I think you should learn to play the accordion while dancing. You could be your own accompaniment. Unless your dancing is of the morris variety in which case I would recommend the didgeridoo. I might pay to see that.

I am temporarily in Edinburgh studying linguistics. Normally I am in California studying linguistics, but I'm on a year abroad. Tests, unfortunately, take place in class. Tomorrow. I have often burnt myself on cookies straight out of the oven, but they taste better before they cool down. Normally I sing when the other passengers start first (not public buses). You mean all of mudcat are serious subversives, or are you speaking of only a few people? If so, you need to think of a better disguise, I knew immediately that mudcat was full of insane...ahem serious subversives.

Over here, we help with the homework (sometimes), but tests are done in class and the kids are on their own there. And be more careful -- eating cookies straight out of the oven burns lips, tongue, and throat. Cold milk is good for that, though.
You sing on busses? How do other passengers respond to that?

Heck, I tried that once. A friend who is an excellent multitasker brought one of his multitasks over for me to try out. Well, I can usually learn a new instrument pretty quickly, but that multitask whipped my ass. You'd need 37 fingers on 12 different appendeges to play the thing well. I think there was a guy playing a multitask in the bar scene in the first "Star Wars" movie, wasn't there?

Studying and posting on mudcat I can do, but I'm not sure if I can dance at the same time. I was dancing, but that was not near my computer so I didn't post, and now I am near my computer but I am no longer dancing. Perhaps I should have brought my computer with me and held it as I danced and typed. But then I wouldn't have had internet. This becomes more and more difficult. Maybe there's a wireless connection in the dancing room...

I have played the clarinet, but don't at the moment. I dance, which is a related activity. I also simultaneously study and post in mudcat. I am a woman of many talents. And I sing on buses and round campfires, so I'm sure that qualifies me. Don't know for what though.

Look above the line, and you'll see lots of threads you'll know something useful to add to them. There are always stuff on the origins of words/lines etc, which linguistics type stuff is actually useful for.
The only problem is beating the six other people who know it as well to post the answer.

I do enjoy folk music though. In actuality Bunnahabhain sucked me in here by always talking about the forum until I had to come take a look. And then another look.
