Believe it or not, I can play a tune using the barrel of a shotgun as an instrument. Really. Not when it's attached to the shotgun, of course. And it has to be unloaded.

Hey, does anyone know that song that starts "As I..."? or the one that starts "The..." (might be part of a bigger word, like "There")? Or the other one, the one that starts "I...?" I've been looking for the words to these for years and years.

I swear, Bert, I've tried numerous times to post to that thread. But what can one really say about a song the world forgot? I mean, if nobody even knows it ever existed, how can one talk about it? The whole idea just confuses my poor brain and leads me into a mental state similar to having all the gray matter sucked out of my head. That thread is a mental black hole and, I'm sorry, but I'm not going there.

And besides, I couldn't think of any way to mention spatulas in that thread. Unless, that is, one of those forgotten songs may have been about spatulas...

Bear in mind too...I read a lot of the threads up top. I found the purist thread pretty interesting. But I'm still learning about folk music and there's not a lot I can say yet.

I do have a very deep appreciation for the music. Just because I don't post that much up there doesn't mean I'm not listening ;O)

Of course they are all fakies if they were for real they would not even possess a computer or would have traded it in for a fiddle or flute or at least a 12 String Guitar and be plying their trade on the streets of York or San Francisco or wherever.And as for the songs; there have been more postings on 20th Century songs than anything else since I staked my claim.On the positive side you have to admit; when the wife and kids and even the pets won't listen to your thoughts and meanderings at least one (or more) of the fakies will lend you a cyber ear and answer your irrelevant (to anybody else) queries and/or ravings.
