No, I'm afraid that Mike has shingles. The GP is adamant that he doesn't socialise or even go to the supermarket for a fortninght.

I also hope that Diedre is OK. Any news there.

For those that have seen Jake Reed at MRFC - he has been very ill, so I would like to wish him a speedy recovery.

Deirdres operation went well this morning apparently so no prob there..My stomach is still off after Carlisle so will be seeing the doc next week...Phils daughter is ill so none of us at the Club tonight. TA are going....hope there's someone there for them to listen to.

Turned out to be a very good night despite "absentees". Good to see Morleyman again and Mike and Jackie. The two in the corner were from Scunnie we think. Jane,Ernie & Bob...2 from Epworth and Jim minus Colin. The regulars John, Gwenda & Terry and Sue & Molly made up for an excellent singaround. Head count of 26!

Yes it was an excellent night. Missed you lots Sooz and Mike - though I managed to make up for some of Mike's jokes I think!
So sorry to hear of your shingles attack Mike (that'll teach you to spend all that time on the beach!) but seriously it ain't pleasant, so get well real soon. Take care of him Sooz!

TA, the two in the corner were Shanty Jack and his lady Meg. It was indeed a fine night, only marginally spoiled by the two smokers who came in late on. They did join in the choruses though. And by way of a bonus, I managed to offload 'THAT' CD in the raffle (and won a rather nice bottle of red to replace it! Woooo-Hoo!

I too hope someone managed to tell the smokers, Sooz. That's one reason why I left shortly before the end actually, as the smoke was getting to me. But I did have a long journey too....
Anyway, what was "that" CD, SJ??? I'm more curious than ever!
(By the way, I've just been sent a CD that's so awful it's worth keeping - dunno which way to take that...! but I'll let you hear it if you're game!)

Hope things are improving a bit now Sooz. See y'at Wickersley if not before.

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you know that I've escaped from prison oops hospital and am now at my Mum-in-law's near Nottingham having a big dose of TLC.

Operation went well and food was excellent.

Thought about you all on Friday evening, seems there were a few of us missing!.

Hope to be back for the next Gainsborough session.
