hildebrand here. does anyone know song that starts "every girl i know is crazy bout an automobile."? heard on ry cooder recording. i think he said it was from sam the sham. no luck at google. all i can remember:

every girl i know is crazy bout an automobile (x2)
and here i stand with nothin but a rubber heel.

The title is sometimes given as EVERY WOMAN I KNOW or CRAZY 'BOUT AUTOMOBILES.

It was originally recorded by the author, Billy "The Kid" Emerson, in the 1950s. It has also been recorded by Joe "King" Carrasco & The Crowns, Ry Cooder, Rockapella, Sam the Sham & The Pharaohs, The Shadows, Junior Valentine, Al Vance, and Les Wilson.
