I'm relaying a question asked by Bob Bossin:

"La chanson francee" is set to Edith Piaf's "La vie en rose". Divishti Rankin of Australia had the idea for the new lyric. I learned her version from Judy Small and then continued to twist it into its present shape. My efforts to find Divishti Rankin have failed. Can you help?

... A Google on "Divishti Rankin" brought up only Bob Bossin's query

... Just "Divishti" brought up 4 references to a "Divishti" who is a female comedian from Queensland ... and 2 more to "DIVISHTI" - who seem to be a band.

Have you directly approached Judy Small? She has returned to law practice (well - last time I heard ... ) but should be traceable. (She was in law practice with frequently hilarious ex-Pom singer/songwriter Bernard Bolan ... but he has retired to the depths of Victoria!)

I do have some e-mail lists that might find Judy (or, at least, Bernard ... who might know). If I turn up anything useful ... I'll be back.

she's an old friend of mine - yes, she wrote the song, and gave Judy small permission to sing it. she's also an excellent comedian. if you pm me i'll send you her details.
