Hi all
I have just picked up a 10 inch LP from the late 1960s / early 1970s by a group called Richmond Fair. The sleeve states no record label, date, track listing or members of the group. The front cover shows a young female singer backed by 3 males (2 guitarists and a drummer). Does anyone know anything about this group or their record?

Thanks
LL

There is a number stamped in the run off grooves too
VENLP 101

Could this help?

This thing must be rare! nothing of any use found from any of the facts and figures above!
You probably already know that Richmond Fair was held annually in Lancashire.
Probably a very small run local pressing.
Skipy, will let you know if I do manage to turn anything up.

Hi Skippy / Red Max

There is no track listing, but none of the songs are traditional.I dont know many of the songs, but the ones I so recognise include Sydney Carters, Lord of The Dance and Pete Seeger's We Shall Overcome which would seem to indicate it being a 1960s pressing.
By the way I did not find it locally (ie Lancashire). I picked it up from a charity shop in the midlands.

As for the "local" Richmond Fair. Are you sure about this? I know the Rawtenstall Fair, but there is nowhere called Richmond locally

Any thoughts?

LL
