So guys! I'm sitting here thinking about your Sidmouth reunion last weekend. Not only that, but Jim McAdams singing 'Eldorado' has been going around and around in my head all afternoon. Shall never forget him doing that.........

........and then an idea started to 'rumble' around....I thought of all those songs, many of which I didn't know and all of which you do and all the wealth of talent in that room and suddenly a CD started to emerge with all of you crammed into the picture....and Jim in the middle.... ;0) And before I knew where I was, I was ordering it on the internet and putting Jim and The Gang on in my kitchen and playing to the kids, learning all the songs and..............

So, how about it? Or have you already done it? And if so..how do I get it?!!

You see....this is all Jim McAdams' fault! I was fine till I heard him singing and then all of a sudden POW!.....lights were going on all over the place and they're still flickering like mad and his voice JUST WON'T GO AWAY!

And if you haven't done it...Why Not???!!! You could use all sorts of places in Sidmouth for the cover. We could have you all up at Jacob's Ladder around that Archway, by The Clock Tower Restaurant,   with the beach and Peak Hill behind you all.

God! That Jim McAdams and Graeme Miles have a lot to answer for! And so do all of you!

And just think I could do all the Standing Up's and Sitting Down's and the Swaying's that Tony Day was telling everyone to do!

How about it?

Lizzie

We did a cd of sorts a year or two ago.

Someone had a minidisk recorder and produces a few "for our fun only" cds using his computer system.

I have a copy.

I don't know if it will be possible to copy it using my pooter and anyway Jim McAdams was not on it as I recall.

Be carefull Lizzie. We all love Jims singing but his lady Annie may get upset if you kidnap him.

Dave

Ooh! Dave....this is exciting! Last night I was just dreaming about it and now here this morning it's become reality! I'll bet that CD would go down really well at Folk Week!

So Dave....purrr...I was...purrrrr....wondering.....maybe....if you....purrrrrr.....well.....purrrrrr...you know...??? I'd put you in my 'Big Hugs at Folk Week' Book!!! Honest! Purrrrrr! ;0)

Could someone please tell Annie that from this day forward, she'll have to guard that Jim of hers at all times! In fact, if he's coming down to Sidmouth this summer and is planning on singing 'Eldorado' again, there will probably be Communal Swooning going on all around town, especially in MY direction! Lock him up Annie!! ;0)

And JUST when you think that life doesn't get any better you find that there is EVEN a Jim McAdams CD out there too! Oh! Double Swoon!
Lynne, Lynne!!... HOW can I get one...I've googled Jim's name but seem to come up with a cattle rancher from Houston, Texas!....That CAN'T be right surely???!

So now I'm sitting here dribbling....knowing that there is a Middle Bar Singers CD AND a Jim Jim CD out there....somewhere in cyberspace!

And it's only 11.30am!!

Lizzie :0)

I have to agree about how good his version of Eldorado is, it's been running around my head too...along with Ali's Bonny Hind which was just fantastic.

Wel Lizzie I can't make any promises but I'll see if I can copy what I have.

I know someone who has one of Jim's CD which I think he bought at Miskin last year I may be able to find out if it is generally.

Also if a kidnap attempt on me is made another lady might get upset.

Yes, I too have both CDs. It is available, it's just how to get it to Lizzie...though I expect Jim might be prevailed upon to bring some to Folk Week with him

You could always come to Miskin, where Jim is booked...you'd be able to get one there

Love Lynne
