Have you noticed? Once as common as old dog crap on this forum, he now only appears at rare and precious intervals, when least expected...like some exotic bird that is only glimpsed very occasionally, prompting a frantic flurry of interest and excitement in the professional birding community.

This is clever. It's so clever that it's diabolical. Bruce Springsteen oughta try doing the same thing, and he could maybe get really popular again, like back in tbe mid-80's.

Will Spaw appear on THIS thread? I'm betting he won't. But he might. I'm betting that people will hang around for weeks on this thread, hoping against hope that he will actually show up here and say something so perceptive, so downright friggin' brilliant, that it will serve as a beacon to light our way and lead us on through the rest of 2005, as not just an ordinary forum, but a forum that has reached the very apotheosis of human communication!

Given that there is a precise and constant inverse relationship between the number of Spaw posts per day, which are gradually approaching 0, and the number of Little Hawk posts per day, which are gradually approaching infinity, it stands to reason that for every Little Hawk post there is an equal and opposite reaction in Spaw posts.

It could also mean that the two are the same person; but since ther eis no thread asserting this equality, and since Spaw has been posting since well before Little Hawk learned to write, I think it is a more complex relationship. Spaw-particles and LH-particles are inversely compatible, that's all.

Mr. Hawk, I have always thought you were a kind and woderful spirit and a gentle soul, the essence of what a Mudcatter truly is. I am saddened and heartbroken that you find me so terrible. I never was meant to be entertaining but simply an ass-blown ocarina.....something light and pleasant and perhaps even humorous for 'Catters to enjoy. I have been honored to have my ass blown by many a fine 'Catter including the wonderful Rick Fielding as you can see in the bottom photo here.

Castor canadensis is near and dear to me. I have observed beavers at every opportunity since I was a lad. With their thick fur and unique tail, these creatures of the bush excite me more than any other. Unfortunately, as I grow older, I find it becoming increasingly difficult to get deep in the bush and to observe beavers as much as I would like. Is that there a French side-by-each? I use a Russian made Ijevsk Baikal over-and-under, full and modified, double trigger, 28" vent rib, with recoild pad, that weighs, get this, six and a quarter pounds. I'm gonna weigh it someday though, cause I just can't believe it's that light. But it is light enough that I can carry it all day and it's kinda like it helps balance me or somethin. Totin a light over-and-under not only means I can go deeper in the bush, but I can shoot twice, in rapid succession if necessary. And, bein full and modified, I've got the accuracy and reach to get more birds than most. What size shot should, er, ah, would I load if I was to come across one a them Snarks? Fer self-protection only, of course.

Well, I have a 20 guage side-by-side Stoeger Uplander, 26 inch barrels, and a Stevens 12 guage side-by-side with 24 inches barrels. I use a PAST shoulder pad, but have slip-on recoil pads as well. These work well for everything from squirrels to deer. For snark I usually use one barrel of #4 buckshot, followed by a slug. If this doesn't work and I have time to reload I use two slugs, followed by a 4-minute mile run in 2 minutes.

Well, my Stoeger side-by-side is from Brazil. And gnu's Baikal is from Russia but uses the Missionary Position. A French position might be with one barrel up and one barrel down, but I wouldn't want to shoot it.

I was going to wait until tomorrow to post because it would then be a week since you casted LH. I have always respected Spaw's sense of humour, his adherence to fair play, his... you get the idea. Now, I TRULY marvel at his restraint... I think.

After LH casted the ultimate bait for Spaw, he did not bite. Not even a nibble. Could one assume that Spaw has aspired to a greater self-conciousness and an inner peace which allows him to gracefully decline provocation or lure of any kind? Or, could proof of the original premise of this thread actually be the case? Nah, he's losing it.
