Well, a good place to start is a CD from Ground Swell Recordings called "A Taste of Atlantic Canada," #GSR-59. They have a toll-free number, (800)563-SWELL, but I don't know if that will work from the US. Their other phone number is (902)492-0447, and their address is P.O. Box 245, Central Station, Halifax, Nova Scotia B3J2N7, Canada.

Or, thake a trip to Nova Scotia and visit the wonderful town of Lunenburg. They have a number of good music stores, and they have an annual folk festival.

Check out http://online.ns and click on music

There is also a series of cd's called "A Taste of Nova Scotia" that has some great down east folk on it. Any decent music store should be able to order it for you. Sorry I can't be more specific.

A great Nova Scotian fiddler is named Ashley MacIsaac. You've prabably heard of him, but he plays some really neat traditional as well as more modern celtic stuff.
