There are several music videos at www.llajta.org which have traditional dancers and musical instruments which, imo, are interesting and well worth watching. Extremely GOOD pickin'!!!

I don't know much Spanish, but some of them seem to be a mix of trad./indigenous and popular singers. They are full of bright and colouful regalia and the music is really wonderful.

If you visit, I would urge you to be sure to click onto the video near the bottom, entitled Viaje Salar de Uyuni. It has gorgeous guitar music and is a series of travel pix way up HIGH, 15,000 feet and more, in the Andes, near the border of Chile. The music and beautiful vast, endless scenery with its "laguna colorada," indidgenous people, volcanic peaks, and HUGE slat flats are spectacular to hear and see.

I notice that if you download the tunes, you have to be on line to play them back. Is there any way to get aroung this?

And, thanks, Kat for bringing this up. This site was around years ago and then they seemed to go off line.

Thanks, RangerSteve. From what I can tell, I chose the Add Currently Playing Track in Windows Media and it did save, so I should be able to play it without being online. I noticed I could also have chosen to add it to a CD.

Or you can nab it while it plays, in Total Recorder, and save it as a WAV. Songs, anyhow. Not video.
