Subject: Uiscedwr Charity Gig in Reading From: MurkeyChris Date: 14 Mar 05 - 01:02 PM Readifolk Present A Grand Charity Concert featuring: Uiscedwr - much acclaimed Welsh-Irish trio nominated for the BBC Folk Award Horizon Award and (if I remember correctly) fRoots cover stars. www.uiscedwr.org Pete Orton - hilariously funny singer/songwriter Eddie Winship - from Radio Reading 107FM Friday 8th April at 8pm at The Holiday Inn, Caversham Bridge, Reading. This gig is in support of the new Sensory Music and Drama Centre at Addington Special School, which wishes to provide a full range of musical instruments for the pupils, who have a wide range of learning difficulties, many of which are associated with sensory, motor, medical and behavioural needs. Visit www.musicforminds.org for more details. Tickets are £6 in advance, or £7 on the door (if still availiable). For advance tickets and enquiries, please ring 0118 9483145. Please support this very worthwhile project. Chris _________________ Cool as Folk - An online radio show playing the best of British folk, from A. L. Lloyd to Martyn Bennett. www.coolasfolk.co.uk |
