Subject: RE: Threadbare Consort From: Max Johnson Date: 13 Aug 11 - 07:30 AM Some tracks the 'Wearing Thin' album, recently cleaned up by Ralphie Jordan, have just been posted on the Lost Folk Tapes site. There's also a song that has never been released, hitherto, and an interview about Threadbare Consort. |
Subject: RE: Threadbare Consort From: GUEST Date: 16 Mar 05 - 11:30 AM Hi Chris. Yes it was listening to my much played copy of "Wearing Thin" that prompted the enquiry! I just thought it would be nice to record it properly, the original is certainly quirky, You know what I mean! Regards Ralphie (at work) |
Subject: RE: Threadbare Consort From: ConcertinaChap Date: 16 Mar 05 - 08:01 AM My understanding is that the one Threadbare Consort lp was recalled due to pressing faults and never reissued because the band broke up in the meantime, so those of us with copies have a real rarity. A shame, because it's got some great stuff on it. We stayed with Max and Jill a few weeks back. Max is alive and well and living in Lancashire, cooking great meals and flying Douglas Dakotas in formation with other Microsoft Flight Sim enthusiasts. Chris |

Subject: RE: Threadbare Consort From: GUEST Date: 15 Mar 05 - 03:02 PM Ralphie My recollections of Threadbare Consort and Dead Sea Surfers have rather merged into each other, but Ann turned up in a Theatre Bar singaround at Sidmouth last year - because she was living in the area,I think. Kitty |
