Subject: Lyr Add: WILD ABOUT MY LOVIN' (Jim Jackson)
From: Earl
Date: 07 Dec 98 - 03:50 PM

These two songs were requested in the Jim Kweskin thread, both were written by Jim Jackson. I think everyone who has ever done them has his or her own version. This is how they were recorded in 1928.

WILD ABOUT MY LOVIN - Jim Jackson

I'm gonna tell the sergeant, see the chief of police
The women round here won't let me see no peace

chorus:
'Cause I'm wild about my lovin
I like to have my fun
If you wanna be a girl of mine, baby
Bring it with you when you come

Hello central, what's the matter with this line
I want to talk to that high brown of mine

I don't want no sugar stirred up in my tea
Cause the girl I love is sweet enough for me

I ain't no iceman, no iceman's son
But I can keep you cool until that iceman comes

I ain't no fireman no fireman's son
But I can keep you warm until that fireman comes.

I'm gonna tell all you people, to listen to this song
Goin to see my girl and it won't be long

WHEN I WOKE UP THIS MORNING SHE WAS GONE - Jim Jackson
(aka GRIZZLY BEAR)

Chorus:
When I woke up this morning she's gone
She made me mad
I felt so sad
Well I would not tell you the reason why
Oh how she loved to dance that old grizzly bear
I guess she's gone to Frisco to dance it there
Cause when I woke up this morning she's gone

(repeat)

She's gone gone gone
She's gone gone gone
Always the same everybody knows its true
The more you do for people the less they think of you
Now she left town
And she throwed me down
She's gone gone gone
She's gone gone gone

Chorus
