I'm sure that Mudcatters and Firm Friends fans will be interested to know that the new CD Firm Friends 'IN HARMONY' will be launched on the GMR 'Sounds of Folk' radio programme (presented by Mudcatter ALIO) on Monday 4th April.

Firm Friends are myself, Hazel Bolton, Theresa Tooley (Treatise), Ann Clancy (Avison) and Alan Cox. We four love singing together and creating stunning unaccompanied harmonies with both contemporary and traditional material.

Firm Friends have a pre-launch booking at The Shoddy Doggy Folk Club - Dewsbury on Saturday 2nd April.

Nutty, all the best with this, I haven't heard the Group sing together but have heard you and Theresa and with you two on Board it is bound to be GOOd (and LOUD :o)!!), but the real question is, " HOW do we get a copy????"

Remember, we go on air at 20:05 BST (after the news), and are on 95.1/104.6 FM, DAB and online. The programme is on until 21:00, and Firm Friends will probably be speaking at around 20:15 and again at 20:35 (times approximate).

Thanks for this thread - and the link to let me hear Radio Manchester down south here in Worcestershire.
There is a great mix of tracks on the Cd all sung with the precision you have come to expect from Firm Friends.

A track every week? Mm, that means Ali will only get through four tracks by the end of the month, shame! If I had a radio show, then I could make it my album of the quarter, then I could get away with playing two tracks each week - oh sod it if the maths don't work, I can dream can't I?
