The Canadian Juno Awards for roots and trad, and 29 other categories, were given out last night.

Yup, that's right sports fans, here's the news flash:

Our neighbour Jenny Whiteley won, for the second time, the Juno for Roots and Traditional Album of the Year (individual) for her album Hopetown.

And the Roots/Trad Group category went to: The Wailin' Jennys.

Is that symbiotic or what?

Even better, Jenny (Whiteley)will be back already to play in Maberly TONIGHT along with her Hootennanny pals Carolyn Mark, Ball & Chain, Oh Susanna and Luther Wright. I will sure as heck be there.

Show's at Maberly Hall just north of Hwy 7, one hour west of Ottawa, Doors open 7:30, show at 8, tickets $22, don't hesitate, BE THERE!
