Did any Mudcatters get to the Bob Copper memorial day at Cecil Sharp House on Saturday? I wanted to go but got called in to work. Was it as good as expected? What were the highlights?

Swift review here on the fRoots site. Go to Forum and to the Reviews page. It was sold out several days beforehand so it would have been pointless just turning up.

I got to the first half of it, but unfortunately I had something else arranged for the evening that I had already postponed several times, so I had to miss that. Still, the part I got to was very enjoyable.

Oh, I missed Barry Dransfield, one of my favourite artists. Now I'm really "sick as a parrot".

Katie, he was unbelievably good. It was only his second time on stage in the past nine years and had come to do only two. They just had to let him do a third and then Martyn Wyndham-Read called him up for part of his set. The good news is that he has a new CD, Unruly, out soon on Violin Workshop VW1CD.
