I had the impression that the USA guy was supposed to be a victim of the tower bombing who has now returned as an angel to bless and strengthen us survivors. It was banal, sentimental, funny at times, (especially the in-rushing flag-tide and the dunes-that-becomes-Rushmore). It would be more understandable if it were written and produced four years ago instead of now (and actually I don't know when it was made). But on the whole, its a lot gentler and less jingoistic than the really popular garbage from somebody like Toby Keith.
Numa Numa? I thought it was hilarious.

Excuse me. Who knew you had a monopoly on the name? Evidently not the folks who have the same name as you in places all over the USA like Fair Oaks or Sacramento CA, Syracuse NY (you?) or Michigan (lots of Don Meixners in the Great Lakes state - maybe you are one of these)...

Some of these Don Meixners are older than you so maybe the oldest one could lay claim to your quote.

Ooops ~ let me clarify: The recording of the song is Romanian, but the lip-syncher seen in the video is an American teenager.

I'm not sure whether the kid produced it himself, but suppose that he probably did. (Who else whould have done it? And cast him?)

"Numa Numa" is from Romania. So the language is presumably Romanian, I supose.

I'm surprised no one else seems to know about it. I had never seen it on the web before, but I have seen it on network TV (NBC Today show) about two weeks ago, as the biggest new rage on the internet, the most-watched hilariously bad amateur web video since "Star Wars kid" doing some light-saber fight-dance.

Now I think that this could well be the awfullest thing I've seen as a music video in my life.

The lyrics are juvenile at best, tho' maybe heartfelt by the performer. The music is equally bad

The video itself had to have been done by Wierd Al Yancovic's production team. They had to be laughing up their collective sleaves when they handed over the master.

But tell me this Clinton and Little, would it be just as bad if those flags had Maple Leafs or is it just bad because of its obviously over the top pro American stance.

Not looking for fight here, I agree it is pretty dreadful, I just wonder what makes it dreadful to you.
