Possibly, Liz. However, the info comes from a site I found that addressed the issue. The site seems to have been started and is maintained by uncircumcised men. Just reporting what I read. Didn't mean to offend you--or anyone else for that matter.

God has a cruel and unusual sense of humour... man was given both brains and a penis and only enough blood to run one at a time!

I thought the Mudcat had covered all imaginable topics, proper or not, but this is, um, new territory for me. I do recall Henry Miller in some book I read in my teens mentioning a sighting under conditions such as those described above, but he didn't start a conversation about it, having both his minds on other things.

Four-year old boy in the bath, playing with his scrotum: "Mommy, are these my brains??"

Mother: "Not yet, dear."

    I guess that if you've a funny-coloured anus when it's clean,
you'd want to have it bleached so that any sexual partner doesn't
start a conversation about it when you are in the midst of something
    interesting.

I'm not sure whether that remark should simply stand on its own as the most absurd one-liner I've ever had the pleasure to read here at Mudcat, or if I should write a small script to demonstrate the sort of sexual encounter between two partners in an apparently well-lit room, deep in the throes of passion, when one remarks to the other about the color of their asshole. Do you think HBO could do something with it?

That could be expressed by a 'sliding scale', but you'd have to programme in variables like drink which can add or subtract depending on the amount consumed. Can't remember the last time somebody tried to get me drunk in order to seduce me though!

Well most of the circumcised ones I met were when I was young (and so were they) and in more recent, maturer times they've mostly been uncircumcised, so it's hard to tell if it's true about lasting longer, since experience also has a lot to do with that too....

Other than the religious aspect of circumcision, there was thought at one time that the circumcised penis was 'healthier'; that is, easier to keep clean, etc. It is easier to keep clean, but any guy who cares about his cleanliness will draw back the foreskin when he showers or bathes and wash himself. Conventional wisdom is not always wise.

One aspect of the difference that people have not addressed is the ability of a person with an uncircumcised penis to last longer during coitus--that is, to ejaculate less quickly. That is due to the foreskin covering the glans penis (the cap or head) and thus preventing the degree of friction that a circumcised penis would experience. However, other literature demonstrates that that can be overcome (hehehe) by mental control and the importance of the female's experience to the male involved. IMO, of course.

SRS...no neither would I subject a son to circumcision. Taking off bits that nature intended you to have seems like a bad idea to me anyway.

I've been a long time actually joining this discussion. I've seen and er...experienced....both types (all types??) and don't have a preference either. Don't think it makes any difference to sexual activity. Shaved bits however.....surely once they start to grow back the stubble is bloody scratchy for one's partner?

The thing about being circumsized (or not) is that you'll never know whrther or not anything would feel any different the other way. Unless, of course, you got circumsized as an adult, which wouldn't feel very good at all, I wouldn't imagine.

Nads is washable so the fabric is reused. Nads is basically sugar, honey, molasses, every sticky thing you can think of, cooked together into a product with the viscosity of strawberry jam (and it gets thicker as it ages, in the same way as honey crystalizes, but still works great). How is hot wax different?

I couldn't subject a son to circumcision any more than I could subject a daughter to it.

JimmyT:

Please contact me at your earliest opportunity regarding the line you mention of pushup Bras. The brotherhood of the Temple of the Golden Globes is looking for good designs to consider for uniforms as they transform their order into a new, dynamic, and feeling organization suitable to the youth and vitality and forward approach of the Curvaceous 21st Century.

We are seeking a well-rounded, balanced design which combines a certain flair and thrust with the necessary modicum of discretion which will allow meditation to occur without excess, a target-center which I feel you have touched on in your past and can provide dexterous and sensitive talent to in the fullness of time.

I look forward to your response.

Sounds so much better than using a razor with a sharp blade. So what do ya do? Pour the hot wax on yer crotch and then let it dry THEN tear it off thus taking with it the offending hairs? Sounds like a plan. Next time I get crabs I will remember that. However, seems as if the hot wax would kill the crabs and maybe just that should be enough. Right?

Great! WYSIWYG and Shambles have appointed themselves Arbiters of Elegance (look it up) in the Chat where I have never seen either one of them.

Now we'll have to change the entire format. Those of you who insist on having intelligent discussions on serious topics are forthwith ordered to keep your comments to "quip" length and all threads resulting from discussions in the Chat are now banned. Will someone add this to the permanent Facts thread?

And to newer members: Get used to it. Part of the expectations here is that you will occasionally be subjected to know-it-all pontificating from those who really don't know it all.

As to NADS - I prefer microwaveable wax that doesn't require fabric strips to rip out the offending hairs. Not for the faint of heart.

On the topic of shaving pubic hair.....why not...you can shave it into all sorts of shapes...triangles and landing strips!...

I hate to break it to the newer members, but there are actually a few community expectations here, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who recalls a time when most members not only knew them but respected them.

~Susan

Certain long-term members have done exactly as they wished and have never respected any community expectations here. Sadly they have set this example and incited everyone else to follow.

Chatrooms are for short one-line stuff - based on WHO is saying something. The discussion forum (yes even the B/S section) are about WHAT is being said. It is possible to still be humourous in both areas but still respect the difference between them.

Back to the members...........

It was funny at the time. Just like the night that Tom ######## was passed out and we shaved half his mustache. He had been very proud of that mustache. It was funny at the time. Like the time we sent Tom (another Tom) a telegram that read, "Please ignore first telegram." It was just one of those things. Lucky for us he calmed down by the time he saw us again. He was a very HUGE man.

I ignored this thread until now because I wasn't interested in a "public information service" discussion. All Dyslexic catters raise your hands! Now that I've visited, I can't see what everyone got so prick-ly about. ;->

That's from a man's perspective, Giok.

Much ado about nothing, eh?

Whenever I describe the Getaway sleeping arrangments to a newbie I am forced to recall my first meeting with Micca, the Wild Man. Ladies and gents share a shower room which is equipped with mirrors at both ends. So there I am brushing my teeth and attempting to wake up when in walks Micca in the all-together. And with strategically placed mirrors I am treated to a coming and going vista. My only reaction? "He's not circumcized!"

Sorry, Miss Phiddle. Since this event did not take place in the Chat Room and since multiple other 'Catters were there to witness the event, I did not feel I was breaking a confidence by telling all.

SINS, who has seen and test run both but has no preference.

Pubic wasn't a missprint. I don't know why I should be surprised to see this.
Many years ago, the little paper I was writing for was taken over by a British firm. I was told to write up Christenings.
Which was fine for the Catholics and Episcopalians in my area, but not so good for the Swedenborgians, and then there was the very large Jewish population.
I finally asked my airhead editor if she wanted me to do brises too. (A bris being the Jewish circumcision rite.) She said, brightly, "Well, I guess they had baptism back in Bible times too."
I did not do brises.

The Cavliers were ruffer, as I recall, while the Roundheads are thought to be more garbed and hooded in their approaches, although this may just be camouflage to make it easier to get close.

And as for who should not be a-skin' Bruce, a roundhead feels at home being all askin. and a cavalier feels it has, well, drawbacks, so to speak.

But why either category should constitute a barrier to entry, in social circles of the most revered -- if most horizontal -- sort , well, I don't understand that at all. But, if there is a moral to the moralistic puffery entered herein, it is that roundhead or cavalier, whatever is discussed, someone will find a way to look down on it. Not to put too fine a point on things.

I don't think anyone who objected to this discussion was male. Certainly, the single most vocal opponent was a woman, if I'm not mistaken.

Uncle DaveO's suggestion that this discussion belongs down in the BS section hardly counts. He always is quick to point out BS, and when he does so, he's almost always right ~ but he expresses no objection to continuing any discussion in the appropriate venue.

Well, one kind is the kind who fails to realize how imitative Mudcat can be when some dickheads start trying to imitate or outdo other dickheads.... the kind who don't realize when they are at the top of a real slippery slope.... the kind who confuse intent with effect... the kind who would rather defend than think. In general I think the saddest decline of the Mudcat community has been the defensiveness-- swinging back when they perceive someone is taking them to task personally (who failed to read the puerility and actual intent of their minds).

No names have been posted, though three of us have come on here under our own names and said we were there and it was all a laugh. What on earth are you going on about? It's certainly a far cry from >>popping in now and then to see who's getting raunchy with whom and report that out to various spouses...employers....>> No one has been hurt by this because no one has been mentioned. Not only that, but there is nothing in it to hurt anyone, unlike the idea of sneaking to spouses etc to report things said in the chat room. Though no one with any sense at all would say things in the chat room that their spouses would object to anyway!

It is/was a joke Susan: what DO you think we were voting on? To reveal the name and status of individuals' foreskins? Hardly, as it was a majority female vote from a majority female room ... in pursuit of (salacious and daft) knowledge to add to the fund of knowledge about "members" e.g. how many catters have cats/ dogs/ play cover versions/ vote Republican/ run around nekkid and howl at the full moon?

I must confess. Although I did NOT start this thread, it is all my fault.

Whilst in the chat room last night, I was also watching a programme on TV called 'Life before birth' (sort of Womb with a View), and happened to partake a couple of choice details from the programme, in the interests of general education, on the grounds that a) a day you've learnt something new is a day not wasted and b) it might engender some amusing remarks.

It did indeed engender some amusing remarks in the chat. It also regressed back to the origins of the item discussed, which lead to the detailed and light-hearted discussion of 'roundheads or cavalliers' which was indulged in by members of both sexes who were in the chat room at the time.

I'm sorry. It's my fault.

It's also my understanding that either style makes no difference to hygiene, that entirely depends on the owner.

When we talked about starting a thread about it, we thought that, Catters being the jolly, humorous people they are (we thought) we'd get some good witty comments. I've seen far nearer the knuckle threads than this started by some of the people who are decrying this one. It was done in a spirit of fun and I can see no reason why all you miseries are being so up your own...... Gosh GFTCR, I'm glad you did post as guest! Mudcat Dynamics 101: The general tone of responses to a thread topic is established by the first respondent. If the initial response is lighthearted and favorable, then subsequent responses will be likewise. If the initial response is unfavorable, then the thread-starter is automatically an outcast and a moron and the bite of that first respondent will start a feeding frenzy that makes a school of blue sharks look like a buncha pikers.

Oi!

Get off your high horses - I was nominated by a (very large) majority vote in the Chat room to put this topic thread up!!

1) I don't consider that EVERYTHING is sacrosanct - the basic topics discussed in the chat room MAY be grist for the mill in starting a BS thread. Some degree of discretion IS needed, though - and at least no-one was named.

2) If you are going to play as per 1) above however, pretending that you are anonymous when those who WERE in the chat can pretty well tell who you are is gutless - at least have the courage to identify yourself.

3) There are no GUESTS in the chat room - everyone is a member. I wasn't there, but I can narrow down my guesses as to who this alleged GUEST is to a handful - which may or may not be correct, and also smears all those suspects who are not guilty.

You were not a guest. You were a memebr and part of the discussion. Too bad that many there may have considered you a friend.

Plus, if this thread goes on at all, it should be shoved downstairs forthwith!

I think most people would rather their Chat chat was kept in the Chat room-- not characterized, quoted, or reacted to in the threads. Like PMs, what happens there ought really to stay there. That's why it's THERE.

Spring is in the air - the sap is rising - and the Cat Chat Room is pondering on matters of deep significance.

Apparently
"Most Aussie men are" ... "Nearly all US men are", But
some would "swear that men never compare" ... Some
have "only ever seen one in [their] life";

Equally, some knew they'd "only seen one sort, but weren't sure which it was..."
Some have conducted unsuccessful field trials to gather empirical data; and some have seen baby ones but never grown up ones ...
While others have established that all the men they've slept with were...(but: before, during, or after was not established)

Obviously, this is question is of deep and abiding cultural significance and interest - at least to a Chat room full of female catters ..

So, which are you - Roundhead or Cavalier?

(Then we went on to enigmatically discuss the efficacy of lion poo as a rodent repellent and budding daffodils - I think?)
