now when did you sneak into Oz? and are you coming to Sydney?

last time I was up there the Irish bar had nothing but sequenced Van Morrison & U2 wannabes.......

but if you head inland into the hinterland (not entirely sure where but inland ... sort of level with the big theme parks........theres a little village with lots of craft shops - that should narrow it down a bit .... *grin*... ask someone up there) there was a great Irish bar which had sessions

have fun

So Amergin asks the question and gets a reply pronto. I ask the question
Any music at Gold Coast Oz 15-18 Apr 05?
and get no replies whatsoever. Zilch, nada, zip! Is there a message here for me??

I feel a song coming on:

Nobody loves me, everybody hate me, think I'll go & eat worms!

;->

Sorry Amergin, I won't be there in July.

We are hiring a car so Briz-bane is not out of the question.

And, alison, can you be more specific about the village with craft shops and what day/time the sessions were?

Thanks, in advance, I hope. Or maybe I've now killed this thread like I killed my own. Murderess! Out damned Spot!, and all that.

Helen

Thanks, alison, I worked out that it was probably there. We didn't get up out way at all and didn't get to see any live music venues but we had a relaxing long weekend. Just got back yesterday afternoon.

I will be in Runaway Bay QLD in the last week of May, staying with relatives. I may be tempted to drag them along to some folk event if there is any nearby.

I'll be dropping in on the Canberra Folk Club on Friday 20th May. Any Mudcatters going to be there?

Gwilym

Gwilym re Canberra,

That's as in Holmes' Baker Street Irregulars!

'Dropping in on the Canberra Folk Club?' - you're on the program, just being modest!

I am also a Merry Muse Door Dragon and billeteer, so if Billy hasn't fixed you up, the usual Mudcat hospitality is available from me!

You might, depending on your time in Canberra, like to catch up with the National Library's folk collection, and song collectors. I can try to link you up if interested.

Cheers,
Chris

There are Sunday Markets up on Tamboourine Mountain - or used to be.

Hmmm, a parody of 'Warburton Mountain' is in the air....

So how do I get in contact with Piano Accordion players froom down there?
