Can anyone help me with the lyrics to a couple of songs from
Maureen Jelks album - "Eence Upon a Time"

"Eence Upon a Time (When I Wis Young and Bonny)"
and
"Why Should I"

They're quite hard to figure out from listening as she has such a strong scottish accent! Does anyone also know if they are both trad songs?

Thanks a lot

Julie

Julie,
The lyrics to both songs should be on the Tradition Bearers' web-site. The album is one of a series and I'm pretty sure that the lyrics to all the songs and ballads in the series are there (mine are definitely there so Maureen's should be too).

The site address is http://www.thetraditionbearers.com

Thanks Jack
The song names are there but unfortunately the words aren't. Never mind, perhaps someone else can help!?

I think I'm going to close this thread because threads with non-specific titles like "two scottish songs" tend to get lost. Click here for a new "Eence" thread. Click here for "Why Should I."
