I seem to recall a John Prine tune with a line that said something like if we all had our wishes we'd all sound like George Jones'

hmmm...this is probably no help but a quick Google turned up the lyrics to Jesus The Missing Years in which there's a line about Jesus opening "up a three-way package in southern california for old george jones."
