Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Once Famous Date: 26 Apr 05 - 03:12 PM what a waste of bandwith. |

Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 26 Apr 05 - 04:35 PM What's so friggin' precious about bandwidth that it's a crime to waste a little of it anyway? It's not like it's 40 year-old Scotch or somethin'. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Stilly River Sage Date: 26 Apr 05 - 04:59 PM Look at the first half-dozen and extrapolate. Gawd, can you imagine 7000-plus posts with a 1/3 of them consisting of Martin Gibson bellyaching? Oy! SRS |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Raggytash Date: 26 Apr 05 - 05:02 PM If music be the food of love why don't rabbits sing |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Blissfully Ignorant Date: 26 Apr 05 - 05:06 PM Ah but they do, if you get them drunk enough. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Raggytash Date: 26 Apr 05 - 05:23 PM I'll have to defer to your greater knowledge I've never heard them, does anyone else have an earwitness account of Rabbits singing, sober or drunk |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Once Famous Date: 26 Apr 05 - 05:25 PM bugs bunny was a rabbit, I mean wabbit. He always sang and was never drunk. Of course he wasn't ever portrayed as Irish I believe. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Alba Date: 26 Apr 05 - 05:42 PM Ah Blissy they know nothing about the singing Rabbits and their taste for a certain Monastic Tonic Wine eh? Jude |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Davetnova Date: 26 Apr 05 - 05:44 PM I seem to remember at least one occassion when old Bugsie was drunk, icould be wrong. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Once Famous Date: 26 Apr 05 - 05:52 PM He could have been drunk. Bugs was a great hero of the politically correct you know. Probably more than half of his cartoons aren't shown anymore for fear of offending some sensitive whiners. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Amos Date: 26 Apr 05 - 05:53 PM I am sorry to say that cheap imitations are....well, cheap! You guys need to read the whole MOAB thread to learn the style of quality BS; it is the only way you will build up any momentum. This stuff is thin gruel, watered-down, limp-wristed sissy-man, half-baked, transvestite, ill-conceived, maundering, diffuse, unfocused, wimpy, amateur B.S. It won't last if it isn't dramatically upgraded in quality in the next ten or twenty entries, I regret to inform you . This is my professional opinion as one of the major BSers in these parts. I am willing however to provide a substantive post-by-post critique to give you a more informed analysis of what is missing and how you might correct those defects, for a small fee. If interested, apply by PM with a brief explanation of why you feel called or qualified to generate quality B.S., and what true B.S. means to you. A |

Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Alba Date: 26 Apr 05 - 08:24 PM ah but DB can you say Linoleum really fast 6 times...yeah yeah...go on... I can and oh I too can say otiose and categorically...I just don"t want to right at this moment, heck with it Im gonna pay the Master of the Mother thread the small fee and get me some learnin in how to become a real BSer:>) Blessings Jude |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: GUEST,Mingulay at work Date: 27 Apr 05 - 07:03 AM I could never get the hang of wheelbarrow. It looks innocuous enough just standing there as a barrow with a wheel so why should I have trouble with it. I can say it mentally without difficulty over and over again, it's when it hits the lips that things go wrong. Throat muscles tighten, sphincter muscles relax and it comes out as a half strangulated fart. Using a wheelbarrow is not a problem neither is thinking about them or even fixing broken ones, it's just saying that bloody word. Buying one is totally embarrassing involving the use of paper, pencils and crude hieroglyphics. I'll stick to a trolley from now on. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Blissfully Ignorant Date: 27 Apr 05 - 12:19 PM eeeeeeeeeeeek ? |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: Amos Date: 27 Apr 05 - 12:27 PM Sigh... no, I am sorry. It won't do. Look. True B.S. appears as effortless as rain, showing no signs of creative sweat. You have certainly got that half right. But True B.S. i like the intellect of steel clothed in the velvet glove of apparent mindlessness. It has subtle or soaring architecture, finesse, tension and balance. It must reveal the depth of its origins without losing its shallow sheen. It must resonate, and implicate, true cultural importance. It has well springs of deep human concern and understanding, which must play a quiet counter-point to its specious apparent form. Otherwise it is hollow and trite. Without that other half, the meretricious dung-crumbs that amateurs provide is mere drivel, the noise of shoppers. A |
Subject: RE: BS: The Daddy of all BS threads From: gnomad Date: 27 Apr 05 - 12:47 PM About these singing rabbits; Raggy I'm surprised at you, your other wife (no not Wombat, the one to whom you keep offering babies) is a singing rabbit, how could you slight (y)our own Red and White Rabbit? I have heard her sing, but I will not reveal for the moment whether drunk or sober. Come to that is the drunk or sober in reference to the hearer, or to the rabbit? |
