Subject: Possible new perma thread? From: sapper82 Date: 30 Apr 05 - 02:16 PM Just saw the Cool as Folk thread and wondered. How about a permenant thread giving station and website details of folk programmes? There are several UK radio stations with Folk Programmes that are available live on the internet and I'm certain some people out of the areas for those stations would like the details to try. To begin with:- Radio Derby; Folkwaves with Mick Peat and Lester Simpson (Of Coope Boyes and Simpson) Monday Evenings 19:00 to 21:00 (UK time; Listen Live available, but not Listen again; click here Radio Derby Folkwaves and look for the "Listen Live" box. Radio Shropshire; Sunday Folk with Genevieve Tudor; 8 till 10 on Sunday night; Again, click here Sunday Folk and look for the "Listen Live" box. BBC Radio 2; the much maligned Mike Hardning Show; 8 to 9 on Wednesday, This one has Listen Live AND Listen Again! Click here Mike Hardning Show and look for the relevent box. Any other offers??? |

Subject: RE: Possible new perma thread? From: Joe Offer Date: 01 May 05 - 03:19 AM Hi, Sapper - we don't have an edited PermaThread, but this thread has good information on a lot of folk radio programs, many of which are available online. If somebody want to start and maintain an online radio permathread, I'd be glad to help them set one up. I've found it's a lot of work to maintain a PermaThread and keep it up-to-date, so I manage only a few of them myself. I'm still looking for a volunteer to take over the "What's On" PermaThread. PermaThreads are edited threads that are intended to serve primarily as a resource for reference information. There's a PermaThread Index in the FAQ, and another on the Mudcat Site Map and PermaThread Index (on the dropdown menu at the top of the list of threads on the Forum Menu. -Joe Offer- |
