Subject: RE: Tune Req: wanted: MP3 of 'Two Cents. Three Eggs..' From: Warsaw Ed Date: 03 May 05 - 01:12 AM It's not MP3 but it is a recording [Real Audio] in The Record Lady's All time Country Favorites at Request Page 3 - Red Foley "Two Cents Three Eggs and a Postcard" [Reminds me of the phrase "If it was a bear, it would have bit you"] Ed |
Subject: RE: Tune Req: wanted: MP3 of 'Two Cents. Three Eggs..' From: Bill D Date: 03 May 05 - 11:00 AM Record Lady Requests, page three as Warsaw Ed says... lots of stuff is in Real Audio format, so everyone ought to have a player which will play them...The Record Lady has thousands of songs, so it's worth it to set up for Real Audio just for her site. I recommend JetAudio |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: wanted: MP3 of 'Two Cents. Three Eggs..' From: Louie Roy Date: 03 May 05 - 11:43 AM Ed did you ever stop to think that maybe everyone doesn't have Real Audio or as Bill D suggests Media player player or even the web page of Rose.Louie Roy |
Subject: RE: Tune Req: wanted: MP3 of 'Two Cents. Three Eggs..' From: Bill D Date: 03 May 05 - 11:55 AM Well, Ed did find the song. I doubt there's anyplace else one might get old stuff like Rose puts up. |

Yes I have stopped to think that maybe everyone doesn't have Real Audio etc. And my conclusion was "Why Not?" If they are not willing to take the time to down load free programs like Real Audio [or a free Audacity to convert to MP3], then they can't complain about not finding or enjoying the songs. Record Lady is the first place I would look for a Red Foley Song. I'm surprised that it's not on the "Power Search" list here at Mudcat. Anyway, guest Dave B. is smart enough to ask Mudcat Cafe which never, never fails to provide the answer [what NEVER! Well hardly ever!}. Ed |
Subject: RE: Tune Req: wanted: MP3 of 'Two Cents. Three Egg From: Joe Offer Date: 03 May 05 - 08:58 PM I'm in a rural location and have a very slow Internet connection. RealPlayer produces better sound at a much smaller file size than MP3, so that's what I prefer. I admit that the free version of RealPlayer (RealOne) is a bit hard to find, because they work hard to get you to buy the paid version. Once you find it, you'll discover that it's a pretty good media player and that it doeesn't do nasty, snoopy, invasive things. Well, maybe it does do nasty, snoopy, invasive things - but not TOO invasively... -Joe Offer- |
