Quite a lot in Stoke/N Staffs/ S Cheshire. Is this too far south for you?

It may be a long way from you (it depends on which side of Mc/tr you live), but we have a monthly session in Southport.
On the 3rd Monday of the month at the Guest House, Union St, Southport. It's not an Irish session if that's what you are looking for. Check out the details on the diary page of our website Bothy Folk Club .

Also at the Guest House on the first Saturday, in the afternoon. (the one LesB mentioned is evening, of course.) Worth coming to for the beers apart from the music. About six guest beers - only problem is deciding...

A treamendous, mostly Irish, session happens in the Beech, Beech Road, Chorlton, every Monday.

Tunes are often heard at Chorlton Folk Club, Southwest Manchester Cricket Club, Ellesmere Road, off Wilbraham Road, Chorlton.

Thursdays, 9.30 - late
