Subject: RE: Roots of American Fiddle Music From: GUEST,Al Date: 18 May 05 - 09:42 PM Maybe I should explain. This is a two-cd set of mp3 files of vintage recordings of the skillet lickers, charlie poole, etc. Volume one has 320 full tunes on it! A total of 16 hours worth. I'm talking treasure trove here. No messing around with downloading individual tunes from the net. All the work is done for you. Volume two has fewer, but still a lot. You can convert them to wav files and burn cd's on your computer if you want. And the price is dirt cheap. Ahmet, the guy who put this together, has secured himself a place in oldtime heaven. Al |
