Subject: Chester Anyone? From: muppitz Date: 16 May 05 - 02:30 PM I would usually go to Cleethorpes over bank holiday weekend, sadly it's a little out of my price range with not enough people on that I want to see, so I'm considering doing Chester instead! Any thoughts? Is it any good and if I go can I expect to see any other 'catters there?!! muppitz x |
Subject: RE: Chester Anyone? From: Emma B Date: 16 May 05 - 06:02 PM I shall be celebrating my (BIG) birthday at Chester Festival this year any catters like to join me in a glass of bubbly? |
Subject: RE: Chester Anyone? From: GUEST Date: 17 May 05 - 04:01 AM Chester is brilliant. I have been 3 or 4 times and always enjoyed the atmosphere. It has a good mixture of venues and the main pub ( called the Morris Dancer if I remember correctly is big and rambling and full of real people so you get varied companies to suit your own tastes. It has always had good kids entertainment, which has the bonus of keeping the kids out from under the adults feet and the bill this year looks excellent. |

Subject: RE: Chester Folk Festival, Anyone? Who's going? From: GUEST Date: 27 May 05 - 06:20 PM A good festival well worth going too for the evening events alone. always a good solid evenings entertainment in the main marquee starting around 7.00 and lasting until about 11.00 This year includes some good names as usual, inc. The Pozzies, Bernard Wrigley, Artisan, the Mrs Ackroyd band & Les Barker too name but a few. Anyone in doubt, GO, it is a well run festival. I am just a folk listener, but really enjoy the line ups they put on. John from Manchester |
