Coal Creek TN: The "Fraterville Mine Explosion"

          It was on one Monday morning,
          On the nineteenth of May;
          Near 200 miners round us,
          Left their homes and marched away.
  

All 184 trapped died-5/19/1902; George Korson, Coal Dust on the Fiddle (This isn't the event of "Coal Creek March" or of "Payday." Lots of fun stuff happened in Coal Creek.)

        ALSO:

          Shut up in the mines of Coal Creek,
          And I know that I will have to die.
          Go tell my wife and children
          That I'm prepared to die.
