Well, here it is again, half term and time for the BIG BARROW SESSION ,Tuesday week - 1st June - at the Six Bells, Barrow on Humber, North Lincs. Everyone who has been there knows how excellent it is, topped by the presence of young players - the youngest so far six years old, and leading a set! Come one, come all, players and singers, it's sure to be a great one, don't miss it!
I've just come back from a most pleasant session at the Brigg Fiddle Fest, and more than one person there said how jealous they were that we had such a lot of excellent traditional music around here. Keep going to sessions, keep it live, keep the tradition and KEEP THE YOUNG ONES COMING ON!

Well, it would usually be the Tuesday - unless the Bank Holiday Monday has thrown things out a bit. I'll await confirmation anyways.

BTW a cracking night at Scanlon's eh, Skipjack? What time did youse guys stay till, then?

Yes, ye of little faith and an over-zealous eye on the calendar. YES! it is Tuesday 31st May, YES! I did forget the kids' rhyme and get it wrong, YES! I'm going to boil my head. Now shut your gobs and tell me who's coming! If it's only me it will indeed be a select gathering, but I would much prefer to have plenty of people, including of course the younger musicians who have made previous BIG BARROW SESSIONS such fun.
Now, enough of your nit-picking and make sure the place is nice and full again.
